Title (original)
Ecological and Economic Effects of Derelict Fishing Gear in the Chesapeake Bay
Description
This report focuses on the ecological and economic impacts of derelict blue crab pots in the Chesapeake Bay, where commercial harvest of hard-shelled blue crabs is a major fishing activity. The study used different inputs drawing on many direct or remote observations and other data to quantify their abundance and spatial distribution across this bay, and their resulting ecological and economic effects.
